Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Testicular Self Examination among Male Undergraduate Students of University of Nigeria Enugu Campus

Background: Testicular cancer (TC) is the most common in males between age of 15 and 34 years with an incidence rates for new cases rising on average 0.8% each year over last 10 years. self-examination (TSE) recommended preventive approach to reduce testicular Cancer mortality morbidity.
 Objectives: This study examines knowledge, attitude practice TSE among male undergraduate students.
 Methods: A descriptive research design a sample 343 students was recruited study. The were stratified based their faculties convenient sampling used select respondents. self-structured questionnaire data collection.
 Result: findings showed that more than (57.7%) have heard about TSE, but level knowledge poor, as only (35%) good knowledge. Their poor (83.8%) feels it embarrassing touch scrotum. Due attitude, majority respondents 133 (69.43%) did not TSE. Of those 59 (30.7%) practiced, 20 (33.9%) carried out monthly recommended. Chi-square analysis revealed significant relationship practices (p = 0.006). Conclusion: suggests information should be provided public especially; young men through television, billboard, other media need regular integrated into secondary school curriculum.
